Embedding media (YouTube) video and time links

Hi

If I embed a YouTube video easy enough as the forum software just wraps a media tag around it. For example, one I just embedded in another thread was

Now if I want to have the video start in a certain place I should just be able to put “&t=xxs” (where xx is the number of seconds from the start I want the video to begin playing) at the at the end of the link.

However the forum software just ignores the &t= bit and chucks it on the outside of the wrapper. So you just end up with the video embedded playing from the start and some random text (the &t= bit) sitting right along it

&t=170s

If you edit the post and then place it inside the wrapper the whole video disappears from the post. The link etc is still there in the background text but nothing is displayed...like example below

Any thoughts or is this a Xenforo “undocumented feature” ?
