And what it the word in Canadian for idiot???🤔

Fair to say the last 24 hours that Trudeau has dug a grav....hole that he should fall into never to be seen again...
His behaviour in parliament has brought Canada into disrepute and the fact that he did not oppologise should require him to resign as prime minister.

Ah stop please. Proper PM’s don’t do the resign thing. Brazen it out old chap….

I'm not a fan of the mandate, restrictions.

But Trudeau is elected & in charge, isn't he doing his job by ending the protest. If he makes a mistake, he will be voted out in due course. Although of course, some may still support him.

I well remember 3 day week in GB & Mum & Dad milking cows by hand with candle light. In the 1972 Miners strike.

No democracy can be bullied by protesters.

Still nobody has explained to me how blocking the streets in Ottawa and stopping vaccinated truckers from delivering their loads into Canada from the US benefits anybody other than Mr Putin perhaps.
It lets Trudeau know that he can't just do what he likes and force things on people without consequences. He is fully aware now of the backlash there will be if the government tries to implement/keep restrictions that aren't necessary. There point is made and they should leave this time but if things don't change in a month, they should go back double.

You sure, why do write that?
At some point someone is going to have to sort out the mess Ardern and her cronies have created, not just in regard to Covid but 3 Waters, housing/Kiwibuild , infrastructure management, taxation , inflation and government debt.
At some point the toxicity from the current government has to be addressed, I doubt Ardern and her colleagues will be around to correct the error created under their tenure.

My family and friends there are all supporters of other politicians, some in her party, and none like her so I can't be sure of hearing an unbiased opinion. Thanks for that...

I have no affiliation with any political party and fairly central on the political spectrum but probably deemed right wing by the prejudiced left.
My opinion either right or wrong is based on family history and my experiences here domestically and from my travels in the past.
It's somewhat interesting times here where those predominantly on the left espouse their political beliefs as being democratic while at the same time stifling debate or preventing rational discussion and by portraying misinformation as fact by the use flawed/inaccurate or distorted statistics or just blatant lies.
The freedom to be able to hold political parties and politicians to account must never be prevented or removed because without it creates the potential for tyranny and oppression.

Really???🙄
The criteria for voting should be minimum of 10 years of full time employment or 15 years for state employees (either local or central government ) or 5 years self employment or business ownership to be able to vote.👍

The sole person for letting Ardern to be PM is Winston Peter's.
Everyone knows that.

But if its anything to do with real truckers which I doubt, since the truckers union has always opposed this action. They can't leave get into the US unvaccinated in the first place, so what is the point in complaining about having to quarantine when coming back into Canada?

You don't think the trucks and drivers in Ottawa are real? The point of complaining about stupid laws that force people out of work for no public health benefit is to try to stop stupid laws that force people out of work for no public health benefit. The vaccine is making less and less difference every week since omicron arrived, look at vaccine surveillance report, the numbers are plain to see especially for working age people.

The couple of hundred maybe real, but they are not representative of the third of a million Canadian truckers.

It's the vaccine that has made all the difference. Without it the hospitals would still be overflowing and the death rate would still be through the roof. Whilst Omicron isn't as deadly as Delta, it's still similar to the original Wuhan strain, but far more transmissible.

Most people are now vaccinated, pressure is off so why keep forcing it? That's the point, not everyone wants it yet and trying to force it unnecessarily will only make it less likely for them to take it.
