Empty medicine bottles

Vets have the sharps for obvious reasons but nobody has ever said take the empty bottles back. Do the vets charge for this or are they obliged to take them back

I buy biggish coffee jars, big enough that you can get 2x 100ml glass bottles inside and put the lid back on, a standard light bulb also fits in said coffee jars 👍🏻💪🏼 When I was putting the medicine bottles and light bulbs out with the glass collection they would leave the bulbs and bottles, now their none the wiser 👍🏻
