Thats ally logan retired today, l can't see the store sheep sale ever being the same again there to be truthful, he been the only man to have sold my sheep and kinda sad, always did his best threw thick and thin, hopefully the younger men can do the job, can't see that Martinmas sale having over 10,000 store again, defo an end of an era. Picked a good year to go.

A good man lost to the job if thats the case. Lanark probably made the wright call with archie he has change there sheep sales in a big way compared to afew years ago. Maybe not everyones Cup of tea but in can sell sheep in big numbers and fast.

Richard Close has a busy self catering holiday enterprise that keeps him occupied. Think he is happier working for himself. There was a chance a few years ago that he was going to Lanark before Archie Hamilton came available.
He’s also been in most store sales buying for people who he obviously dealt with when in the box.
