Endurance E-3120 rebuild

I figured a few E-3120 owners might be interested in this. We've just completed the rebuild of an E-3120, it had suffered some fairly significant storm damage. Main items were the low speed shaft rebuild, reaction arm bushing, and bedplate repairs.

All done without the support of the now bankrupt Endurance Wind Power.

No this is a different one, a very windy site. We had been "debating" with EWP over the repair, with them gone, we've just got on with it.

Thankfully we were able to track down all the necessary parts quite quickly. A couple did need fabricating though - we had that done in Sheffield.

The actual shaft was fine, the main replacement parts were the bearings, labyrinth seals, and the sleeve - it's the sleeve you can see between the bearings. Bearings are off the shelf, but the sleeve had to be manufactured.

They are a standard bearing available from any UK bearing stockist. We usually use SKF.

Unfortunately it is becoming quite common for the bearings to have spun in the housing, this somewhat more difficult to source.
