Endurance main bearing

Apparently there is play in the main bearing of our e-3120 (commissioned 2012). The maintenance people are recommending replacing the main shaft/bearing assembly with a new design and at the same time replacing the bedplate with an upgraded version, 4 weeks in the workshop and a very large bill by the sound of it. Anyone else on here had similar issues/work done? Anything I should know about/ questions to ask them etc?

We've had a rebuild done by Britwind. More like £50k!! New bed plate, shaft and bearings. These E3120s supposedly have a 100% fail rate so better done.

Unfortunately this is a common issue on the E-3120. Endurance were not very good at sealing the bearing housings and as a result water ingress shortens the bearing life.

We have a some more cost effective solutions, get in touch if you want to discuss. 01484 702702.
