Endurance vs C & F

Looking at putting up a 50kw turbine. Father thinks we should go with the C & F on the grounds that he feels that it is a better design. I want to go with Endurance as I have heard that the C & F is not as reliable and if it does go wrong, is more difficult to get fixed. This is hearsay I might add.

Therefore I would welcome the views of the forum. Out of the two which would you go for? We are in a relatively low windspeed area.

Any other suggestions would be gratefully received.

Annoying part is you have to decide on turbine make, before you start the planning process. Why? Its a certain height what differnece does the look make ffs!
I'd go with the endurance ;)

I've some experience with Endurance 50kW (none with C&F admittedly), but it seemed a good machine to me. I've seen the 'supposedly' 50kW rated machine generating over 100kW in strong winds, which isn't bad for recouping those costs.

Whats wrong with a C& F turbine, would you be speaking from experience?
I wouldn't touch a turbine without history and from experience and looking at the industry as a whole I would go for a kingspan 6kW or Evance, Gaia WES Northern Power and leave the rest alone..

If I were you I'd go to the casino and bet the price of a C&F on black and you would have a better chance of making your money back:) :)

We have had 2 c&f 20's up for 14 months and both machines have each clocked 100,000 units, exported around 110,000 units and knocked £12k off our electricity bill. Not all bad.

Well done and hope it continues but they have made a 6, 11, 15, 15e, 20, 50, 75, 100 and 250( although not out yet) in a few yrs and if it was that simple why have WES, NP, Enercon not managed this ? Time will tell. You only get happy customers giving their results. My neighbour thought he had the best in the world until one of his 20kW lost its blades and a month later the other fell down!! My other friend tried for an Enercon and 3 yrs later got a WES 80kW and now looks at the 2 C&F under performing thinking the wait was worthwhile..

Just had a c&f 75kw fitted 3 weeks ago. Looking good
It's been a while since you posted, but how have you been getting on with your CF75? I'm looking at installing the same machine myself, and would be interested to hear from someone operating one. Any problems with reliability so far? Has output been as forecast? Any issues dealing with C&F?

At one time there were lorry loads of C&F going up in Scotland , someone put a picture up the lorries coming off the boat with them, what's happened to all of them?

Endurance in my opinion is the best 50kw on the market.
Well built, great back up,and will always deliver

Not a fan of the C&F, you get what you pay for. Have a chat to Hallmark they are well tied into Endurance

C @ F is a very frustrating company to deal with. Lots of their turbines broken . They just do not have enough crew to fix them quick enough. Is anybody happy with them?

Our cf20 work away ok.

They are a nighmare company when things go wrong though. Never get an honest answer when a crew will be there.
