Endurance wind power declare bankruptcy

I heard they were the winning bidders, but last time I checked the parts were still under the control of the administrators. ERIC of course has been bought by mCloud and the service is continuing as is at the moment.

In the meantime we've secured all the spare parts needed through the supply chain. So no-one really needs to worry about that for the time being.

It looks like this has happened or at least 4 service providers (Earthmills post elludes to 5 providers) have bought the spare parts from the administrator of Endurance.
one of the providers is Aeolus I'm not sure who the other 3 are .
Credit to them for moving in to secure the spares and from a owners point of view it is encouraging to see the service providers investing in there future.
Hopefully they have also secured the technical information to allow tech issues and such to be sorted also , as Endurnace owners have all been in limbo since endurance went under.

We are far from out of the woods though we have lost warenty cover , we are maybe going to have to pay for eric services most likley insurnace cover will be more expensive and less comprehensive .
And service cost seem still very very high considering , and on par maybe even over the excesive cost we where paying endurnace to secure a 3 year warranty.
Just had a letter from Nat Gen where they say that £600k of parts have been acquired by the Group of 4 (Nat Gen, Aeolus, Silverford & Earthmill). I don't know what has happened to Scaled, who were in the party, or so I thought.

It is hard to know whether or not these parts changing hands will be financially beneficial to private turbine owners.

Not sure what's going on but mCloud aren't advertising ERIC anymore on their website. Possible something hasn't gone right in the acquisition?

I guess this means ERIC will remain free for a little bit longer, I just hope someone keeps paying the server bills.

ERIC T&C's now just say "CHANGE ME".

The short answer, they ran out of money.....

The longer answer probably includes the following:
1. Sudden and dramatic reduction in the Feed-in-Tariff - boom to bust
2. Mounting warranty claims probably due to design/manufacturing/quality control issues
3. A bunch of other stuff I might get in trouble for saying....

now the dust has settled , what was the reason for endurance's closure?

Primarily the "overnight" change from a long stated structured regression of FIT which they and many others had used in projections to validate multi-turbine installations by loading the infrastructure costs on the 1st Turbine whilst at the higher FIT rate.

Even the UK government had financial involvement in the Midlands Endurance facility when dear Ms Rudd dropped her bombshell.

So the latest on the EWP bankruptcy, the administrators have started sending out invoices to turbine owners! I've advised our customer to just send one back for 10 times the amount for the loss of warranty cover!

Presumably the invoices are for goods and services provided before they ceased trading. The right or not to set off will be defined in the contract. The administrators will not in my experience however put masses of effort into collecting outstanding debts over and above what they need to cover there own costs!

Imagine if Volkswagen group did this over the fake emissions testing, but because this is a smaller concern with the general public not involved its ok" Dirty fecking tricks!

Dirty fecking tricks!

The dirty tricks you speak of were primarily of the Conservative Governments making after the coalition had lulled the electorate into a false sense of security re: believing that the Government was as good as it's stated word to provide structured regression of FITs which encouraged privately funded renewable energy projects to provide infrastructure for many more medium wind turbines than were ultimately viable after the slashing of the FIT.

Endurance UK's demise can be laid fairly and squarely at Amber Rudd's feet [emoji36]

Not 100% sure on that one as an Endurance owner as EWP were an exceptionally disorganised business with major management failings. I should know as a meet an awful lot of them and still have an original teething problem present with blade knocking present after repeatedly ball's up fixes and then walked away from it and said it would never damage my turbine.

The best bit was when after EWP had the receivers in, my service/ maintenance provider's offered a fix and urged it to be done quickly before damage is done:cry:. And the fix is not several hundreds of pounds as it's fecking thousands:(.

I also believe the design of the E3120 turbine was good but severely cheapened for production by purchase of some inferior product purchases by very short sighted management on a penny pinching mission:eek:

The lucky people were the one's whose council planners and appeal officers saved them having to be caught by Endurance

Not fully up to speed with this, but has Amber Rudd reduced the FIT for the whole planet or just the UK... or are the UK FIT levels vital for any renewable industry to survive?
