Just had word that Endurance have gone bust

Not sure if thats just EWP uk or the parent company in Canada.

Not that surprsing really the service over the last yeat has been terrible there are stil turbines that need servicing and repairing and hopefully either a new busiess will take over and be run a bit better or some of the companies employees will start there own business in due course .

Oh feck but I am in no way at all surprised as their manner on dealing with problems was beyond a joke at management levels but Techs were fantastic even tho their hands were somewhat tied!!!!! Icing on the cake for my worst all time business decision :(.

Disappointing as it was not to get planning on a good site i think it was good long term for our business.
Heard nothing but issues with servicing and warranty work sadly.
But e have made a step in another direction that longer term hopefully will be right.
Feel sorry for all those who invested time and money into what has turned into an issue.

WindCare is Endurance trained to provide O&M on the E series turbine. We are based in Yorkshire but work nationally.

I can vouch for Windcare.
They've been coming all this way down south looking after the Gaia here since the previous company used, Mosscliffe, went belly up last year, straight away sorting out some ongoing problems the other lot couldn't seem to.
They've taken over looking after most of the small turbines round here now.

It's the Canadian side not the Uk based Endurance
Unfortunately the Canadian side financially supports the UK company, the latter is over a month late filing its accounts at Companies House and its CEO resigned in September.

We have been keeping a careful eye on things because we were worried this was going to happen. Our turbine has been down since June and lots of excuses from EWP as to why it has not been mended, the part that was shipped over for ours went to one of their own that was down.

Hi
What a shame that Amber Rudd's announcement in July 2015 has now caused the possible demise of yet another Renewable Energy Company. The Conservative party have a huge amount to answer for- but as usual they will walk off into the sunset with no recriminations.
I am really sorry that Endurance Windpower in Canada have got into difficulties. I can confirm also that as far as we know there have however been no actual announcements from the company as to the situation.
I am a retired EWP Distributor - but am a Turbine Owner myself so understand how difficult this news is for all.
Aeolus Power (MOT's) Ltd is an ASP (Approved Service Provider) for EWP wind turbines and would of course be happy to help out with any future servicing and Maintenance - as would the other ASP's - Natural Generation, Earthmill, Scaled Energy in Scotland and Silverford Renewables in Ireland.
You may be interested also in a new Insurance Backed Warranty that has recently been launched: if you would like more information then please call Aeolus Power (MOT's) Director - Victoria Griffiths on 01454 633323

That's just so wrong but I am not surprised as in the spring mine had a very prolonged shut down for safety reasons due to some machines failing but the first to get restarted were Endurance's own machines and then dealer's machines with farmer owned machines way down the pecking order!!!!!

Hi,

Obviously this is a poor situation and i thought it would make sense to give you a brief update.

Earthmill have joined forces with the 4 other Authorised service providers: Aeolus, Nat Gen, Scaled and Silverford with a view to source key parts such as blades hubs etc.. as well as maintain the remote access facility. Between the 5 businesses we currently look after 75% of the UKs 900 endurance fleet. Rather than all trying to solve the issues individually we have decided to pool our resources to provide our clients with the support they need to keep everyone spinning and generating.

We will communicate directly with clients as soon as we have a clear picture on what is happening with the UK operation.

Regards
Steve Milner

The two on my ground are on a rental basis from Endurance which although I don't have major outlay does mean my rental payments may be affected.
They have moved ownership of a lot of their"own" machines to a joint enterprise with Dream investments from I think Canada. Met some of the Dream managers when they were over making the deal. Not sure of the split or if this company will be totally separate.
Never heard of this till reading it on here.

Hi,

A real shame that EWP has not been able to survive the turmoil and uncertainty created by the dramatic changes in UK renewable energy policy.

DC21 has been an Authorised Endurance Wind Turbine dealer since 2011. We have been planning for post warranty support on the Endurance turbines for over 12 months, and have already developed the supply chain to provide most parts for the E-3120. We also have our own remote access system waiting in the wings should Endurance's system disappear.

I've already taken a couple of calls from turbine owners today who were being looked after by Endurance directly (ex TGC customers). This is not new to DC21, when Mosscliffe when bust last year we picked up most of their fleet, those customers are now well looked after.

At DC21 we also own 18 of our own Endurance turbines, so are highly motiviated to ensure the O&M business remains!

Regards
Matthew

That's the nature of over subsidised industries. The subsidies disappear off to new companies they were never meant to go to, set up for the sole purpose of milking the system, with the knowledge that they'll disappear as soon as the subsidies do.
Others are left to pick up the pieces, and eventually, once all the moaning about 'government cuts' is over, we'll be left with some decent service companies that will keep everything going long term.

You have no idea what is going on and straight away you are panicking. Until there is no official statement so you have no clue what is going on. I can only see adverts on this page an speculations...

Got an email this afternoon from our endurance supplier

As with all these Klondyke companies who have jumped on a FIT bandwagon, many will go to the wall. Some will survive as will some maintenance people, who will carry on the servicing both wind and solar systems already installed.

What will have gone, if the OP's email is correct, is that any warranty on the product is likely to be gone as well.

We were lucky when an Aurora inverter on our solar system failed last year. The company which makes them was taken on by ABB who also supported warranties. Otherwise we would have been in the same position: buyers footing the bill, as any warranty on the system disappears along with the company who offered it..
