WOW, speedy repair by Nissan. They can fit my pickup in on 31st december to take a look at it  and fit new battery IF neccesary ( supposed to have one in stock) 11.4 volts this morning, meanwhile just keep ringing free rac breakdown till then. WHAT a bloody shambles.
In my day in the 70`s, breakdowns had to be done there and then, could not tell police operater that it would be 2 weeks before I could come out to mend a wagon / car / prison bus ect on the side of the A1 motorway. I despair,What a bloody disgrace this world is becoming.
is it in warranty?
if not just go to the local battery center and get them to fit a new 1
you will save the cost in downtime alone

Why don't you pretend to "break down" in the doorway to the workshop? They'd have to come look at it then.

I had that issue with my pickup

I parked in front of dealers MOT bay and wen it dealer wouldn’t put a battery on there and then I gave the service man a bollocking then told him to get his boss from upstairs who also got a bulling as well.

then told them unless they sorted it sharpish I was walking out.

bearing in mind I was blocking the MOT bay and I had the keys.

amazingly a course car was rustled up sharpish and wen I came back later a new battery had been fitted.
And yes Stone acre ford at York are bloody useless

Weyy hayy, finally got my new battery after nearly 5 weeks. Taken 2 trips to dealer and 3 days but guess what, they found my battery was bad     which was what I told them in the first place, Not blaming dealer, Nissan policy seemingly to try every way to squim out of it, but cost them a lot more in dealer time costs than the battery cost. It was a Varta battery at fault and they have put a different make on, cannot see what make.
