Enlarged prostate?

Thanks for the replies and the direct messages. Here's my plan of action, going to buy about half a litre a day of pomegranate juice, decaffeinated tea and coffee, have ordered highish zink tablets, and pumpkin seed oil capsules from Holland and Barrett. And see if there is an improvement ,and if I can then maybe come off the tamsulosin. And yes going to get rid of some of the belly fat. So less eggs, no,or very few biscuits and cakes, and more fruit.
Go easy on the Zinc especially if you eat a lot of fish. You will know if you are overdosing as when you are lying in bed you will feel that bed bugs are crawling all over you. Try the Cranberry tablets from Savers as well.
I don't take one of those every day or the Zinc but consume POM juice every day and eat the POM fruits when in season.

Bed bugs! By the time I was born (1945) my old man had won the battle against the bedbugs by mixing DDT with decorating materials and the plaster for filling in all wall cracks; G-d alone knows what the stuff did to us kids.

Got me some pomegranate juice last night and love the taste and the texture of the stuff and also watched a video on YouTube showing the easiest way to tackle the fresh fruit and get at all it's contents.

As per previous post it worked in Denmark, same genetics, climate and diet as us in the main. In some parts of OZ go to quack complaining of difficulty having a run off, prescription is a mix of Blackcurrent, Raspberry and blueberry juice. All the dark berries. Cranberry works for a close friend of mine, never gets up in the night anymore. Chris Sait @ Groundswell stated every 50 year old killed in a car crash had their prostate examined. 70% had some form of Cancer cells. The 30% healthy ones had 70% more Zinc in them.
Don't go mad just eat properly and take a few extra supplements according to what you feel. POM juice every day for me plus an Odourless Garlic capsule (Savers again). Never get colds anymore although wet and chilled often. I sell a Garlic/Aspirin mix which does Leatherjackets, Slugs, Wireworms and Nematodes. Amazing stuff, that's why after studying effects of Garlic I started taking it. Bear in mind I hate pills and average about a packet of Ibrufen a year.

Sounds like a good plan but take care that you don't over dose on anything.

I will probably be just a few steps behind you and will get some pomegranate juice and pumpkin seeds tomorrow and see if things improve. I have no difficulty passing urine, no blood in the urine, no discomfort or pain on passing urine, but can only just make it to the loo sometimes, before me blooomin bladder starts to take on a mind of its own! At 5' 10" and 15 stone, I suppose that I could also do with losing a bit of weight.
How much pomegranate juice should you take a day

I'm looking at drinking 100 ml glass of the juice per day and seeing if it proves beneficial but will be also cutting back on coffee, curry, and alcohol. It would appear, from my symptoms, that my problem is only an over active bladder but I am due a medication review with my GP, so will take the matter up with her and see what she advises.

I’m going to try what’s been said above
I’m fine during day, just seem to go a lot at night which makes you very tired during the day
Do drink far too much coffee which I’m stopping today, will try black tea instead

Try half a pomegranate tapped out onto some granola with a sliced banana a sprinkle of cinnamon and some yogurt or kefir..
pomegranates seem to be available year round .I really got a taste for them after spending some time in egypt and being shown the tapping method to get the seed out.
They go really well on a salad aswell.
In fact ive just planted a couple of trees in my garden!

There is more caffeine in tea than coffee. Cut back the milk and the sugar. I drink neat tea the colour of lager. Friend of mine 72 uses Cranberry tablets and stopped going at night till 5am rise for work.
I drink 150ml Pom juice first thing out of the fridge. You feel it go all the way to the seat of the action. Every day odourless garlic tablet, no colds or stuffed sinuses. Once a week I take a Zinc tablet, Tumeric tablet and Cranberry tablet on different days in the week. Private medical gave me a metabolic age 10 years younger. Maybe something is working?

Jeez, I only very recently came across the trick of tapping out the seeds of a pomegranate fruit; when we were kids ma would give us half a pomegranate and a pin.

Thought I'd better post an update.. my problem has virtually disappeared I'm glad to say .
Changed to decaf tea and coffee..no more cola . Was taking pumpkin seed oil capsules and codliver oil capsules. And a zink tablet..and drinking pomegranate juice.
Can now go all night without getting up.and feel that I am emptying my bladder when I do. I have stopped taking the prescription medication, tansolusin, two months ago.
I'd like to thank all who advised on here.. and hope my positive outcome can help someone else.

Pomegranate and Zinc, spot on. Careful with the zinc, if you are in bed and feel your skin crawling then you have taken too much. Another one to try is Cranberry pills. Friend swears by them and never needs to get up in night.
I do but that is due to excess beer consumption.
Great News from you and really pleased you posted success as in this and other threads people forget to spread the positive results. Friend of mine was written off (3-6 months) until he got Tamoxifen and Pom juice and carried on living for an extra 3-4 years. Regards, B
