Envirobed premium blend heating up ! Speedy resolution from Them!

We didn't get on with it, company was brilliant, sent me samples down and tried a pallet of premium and straight environbed, used 7 bags a day instead of 5 of Ardens sawdust and found it very course on the waterbed mattresses we have. Vet commented straight away about early hock lesions/hair loss appearing so now back to ardens and the shed being a dust wind tunnel!

Hi Scholsey, thanks for giving the Envirobed a try on your waterbed mattresses. It is a unique type of bedding so some farmers do find it works better with their systems compared to others - and it does have the added benefit of staying put on the beds in wind tunnels

It doesn't matter how much a tonne the product is , its how much you have to use !
So use 500 kg a day @ 100/t
or use 250 kg a day @ 150/t?

Well said Sid - and if less lorry loads are coming onto your farm each month then that's got to be more economical.

Going to be trying this next week. Bedding up twice a day with sawdust (in winter) but wanting to load beds few times a week to cut labour as a one man band. Any more thoughts on it? Front of mats are quite compacted, anybody tried it deeper even a d rail at heel stone to keep it on? Tia

So it came today. Loaded half the beds with it and half still sawdust. Definitely going to be better for not blowing away main concern is these solid lumps. Put on 3.5 kg per bed

They’re soft fluffy lumps I’m guessing. It’s just some long fibres rolled up. Usually get a few on edges of tipped load.

Yeah cows are out between 9 and 3 so should manage that easily. Them lumps are concerning me for hock damage was on my knees on top of them and was like leaning on my kids bloody lego.

I buy cows out of a herd bedded on paper,generally takes then a fortnight or so to clean up once here,milk just turns the paper into a soup.

Complain and they’ll probably replace it.
Bags are an expensive way to buy it. We’re lucky it’s only a 15min tractor journey to where it’s made from here.

Agree will ideally look to try and get a bunker somewhere for bulk. Spoke to them and they are dealing with the lumps, good company to work with.
