Have any of you been to the talks? /decided which of the options you will go for? I have had a look at the list and went to the talk but im still confused as to whether they cover the entire costs of eg. hedge installation.

The talk I went to the representative from the Department said "there is no profit in the Wider Level, Ops I should not have said that".

As far as I can see, the Department was being honest for a change!

If there was something on the list that I had already been thinking of doing, I would apply. However, that is not the case, so I will not apply just because there is some assistance to do something I was not going to do anyway.

Then again, maybe I should sell some cattle and buy moilies (that will have just gone up £150 / £200 a head) so that I can get the £90 a head subsidy.

Stock proof fencing can't be put up without a hedge ,fencing off a tree enhanced boundary or a watercourse. Stonewalling at £13 a metre covers material AND labour , it will need inspected before payment.
