Epson spares

Hi
Has anyone had any joy obtaining parts for Epson printers.
I have recently purchased a ET-7750 printer. I believe the paper holding tray is damaged but returning the printer is right faff due to the ink tanks being full. Before I return it I would like to replace the tray which I think may have been damaged at some point, it should only be a few pounds at most and simple to fit ( you take it out every time to refill with paper)
however can I buy one! Epson are not exactly helpful just saying essentially to return it or they will collect , , but that means I am minus a printer for an unknown time. There is no online retailer offering the parts as far as I can see
It seems ridiculous that they cannot just supply a little plastic tray!
