ERTH Agriseeder vs Simtech TS Grass 300

£90 per hectare I assume?

I agree it makes the job too expensive for most to consider, but I wouldn’t like to do it once, whether 24 row or 32 rows in 3m. I’m more concerned about the space left for weed ingress, rather than yield increases.
Do you have any pictures of crops established with your Simtech ? I am thinking of getting one as they can sow any type of crop, I am just a bit concerned about how you deal with compaction when drilling cereals and do they bring up many stones.
Thanks

I’d say it’s from slight ridges in the field , the seed could be sowed at differant depths so it could take it a bit longer to come up in some rows . It will all even out after.

Does anyone know whether the Simtech grass drill is available on the grant or is it only the arable one that is eligible?

It says the grass drill will sow any seed into any surface and would match the grant spec.

Yes they are grant eligible if you spec it a certain way

Hi, just looking up these erth drills, would a jd 6220se (think its 100hp ish) be big enough tractor to run a erth drill with accord hopper? Also can these drills run without the roller in a wet time?

Yes you would be fine with 100hp on a 24 row Agriseeder.

It would barely be big enough ,we find the Erth heavy enough on the road but in a level field your tractor would workout only just

Yeah I had my doubts, think I will forget about government grants and save me pennies for some fertiliser instead.
