Is anyone watching this sh1t, had the misfortune to turn it on just as three or four of them were running a calving cow round a field to try an get it inšŸ™ˆ!!! Next thing sheā€™s walking around a field of freshly calved cows with a sheep dog wandering about, to be fair the cows didnā€™t take much notice of the dog but very surprising they didnā€™t, the best bit for me was when a cow stood on her foot, very good that!! People watch this sh1t an they must think weā€™re a load of soft cockā€™s!! What a load of b0llocks

Why is there no Escape To The City? Where clueless couples in search of the good life buy a luxury penthouse in Canary Wharf and start a boutique hedge fund. Follow their trials and tribulations as they struggle to find a parking space for the Bentley, and ultimately get imprisoned for unwittingly running a ponzi scheme

What we need is longevity following these types. John Humphrys was a brave man trying to hold down a BBC preseter / reporter career and try his hand at a milking enterprise in West Wales

Show it's not quite so easy

Admit the returns just aren't there and they are getting older with machines and bones wearing out and the capital base (originally from non farming income) eroded

Iā€™d rather these programmes werenā€™t on at all than be portrayed as a ā€œpa Larkinā€ type character where the sun always shines an you smile so much that it hurts, nothing ever dies an we have so much spare time we either bake good old traditional pies with never heard of varieties of apple or we go on long walks with the wife that we met at young farmers an listen to bird song all day while discussing the government grant that we were so grateful to receive we rang John craven or Adam an thought weā€™d go on national tv to show the world how elated we are to be able to knit jumpers from the hair of goats testicles!!! Feck!!!!!šŸ‘Œ

Standard procedure to ratchet something out as fast as you can for the camera then leap on it because itā€™s not out of danger yet!!! I canā€™t bare it when they calve a cow an just ramp it out of her!! Mind you watched them vets make a big job out of lambing a ewe, more hands in an out of her than trains at the station!! Bloody terrible

A while back in off topic a TMF was looking for farmers for a program. I suggested that I'd be up for swapping with a city dweller so they could live in an isolated, cold house in the middle of nowhere working long hours for rubbish money and being despised by all. In return id living in snazzy London pad, with shops, culture and facilities. Having to chomp down on the occasional vegan feast, or drink a "tall skinny mochachino with an extra shot" and earn Ā£65k for four days a week pushing a lever forwards and repeatedly reminding idiots to stand clear of the doors. How would I possibly manage....
