How does it drive when going both ways then thought it might have one box each way and free wheel in reverse
That's the clever bit about a minimat gearbox. The output drive is always in the same direction regardless of the direction of travel ( input drive). If you are using it behind a tractor it won't matter anyway.

Moisture at 10 mm is fine - you can drill at 3/4 of an inch if you need to. Most people aim for 1/4 to 1/2 inch (but thats with rain in the forecast). Lots of millet is going in now after that rain at the week-end. As Simon says, it is still quite cold, but should heat up soon, so i'd be tempted to drill it now, make use of the moisture and hope for more heat / rain next week (or two....).

The waste material injected last month will help. How much N was in it? (Total N requirement is around 90kg per Ha.)
Millet all up and looking good.
Not many weeds, just some nettle and fat hen.
What is the best time to control them and which product?

Great crop !!! Whats the plan on weed control and nitrogen?
Panicked a little on Saturday re the size of fathen so applied .75l/ha buctril and .25lha starane. That has done a job but nettles may survive. Hopefully the millet will smoother them.
All N went on pre em with waste and 40kg out of the bag.

Just had gearbox to bits one of the Ali ratchet clickers had stuck and would not let it drive And going to cut middle press rings out and shorten chassis so the 230 will lift it ,and make it into a good bird plot drill or for grass seeding small bits
