Estrumating a served heifer

Thought I'd ask here for suggestions. Had a bull break in with a heifer this morning, he was in with her about 15 minutes but she was standing for service at that exact time. He served her at least once that I saw with my own eyes. She's a belgian blue and he's a rather large charolais. I'm torn between putting a straw in her later today with an easy calving sire, as I would have done had he not gotten into her and hoping for the best, or giving her a jag of estrumate in a few weeks and serving her again when in heat. Questions I'd have is if I abort her in a few weeks time, how long would it be before she'd be ready to serve again? I don't want her slipping too far away from the calving pattern, but I'm also cautious of letting her run with a charolais calf in her.

I'd just jab in about 10 days and serve. Or serve the heat after.

How Soon Can I Estrumate?

As per title, I've had a young bull get to some young heifers, how soon can they be jabbed to stop any unwanted pregnancies? It's in the back of my mind that they can't be done straight away.

Thinking this is the best way now. It's annoying because I've a batch of them and they're all served in the past fortnight. But I suppose it's better safe than sorry
