EU want payment to leave...

Sir Ivan Rogers predicted much of the talks would be "conducted very publicly" with "name-calling" and an "extremely feisty atmosphere".

He added that EU Commission chiefs were saying the UK should pay 40-60bn euros to leave and thought a trade deal could take until the mid-2020s to agree.

'Sir' Ivan was an utter failure in his role within the EU, both as a representative for our national interests and as a negotiator in the pre-referendum matters. But, for those who do think him credible... read / listen to what he has said about our European 'partners', take note of his opinions about what their tactics, actions and reactions will be. If he is 'in the know', it really doesn't say very much for the remaining 27 EU states; if he is wrong in his judgement of them, why should any faith be applied to his previous acts or what else he says now?

I thought the EU was supposed to ferment a peaceful Europe ... not instigate WW3.

Not happy with promoting regime change in the Ukraine and attempting to remove a Nuclear Super Power's military bases in the Crimea ... they are now picking a fight with another Nuclear Power who is also active in protecting their borders.

Dumber & Dumber.

Completely agree. He is now just trying to cause trouble in some childish attempt to justify his previous comments / actions. He should be ignored.
