Evanza milking cluster

Thinking of splashing out and buying the evanza claw. Any update on their performance? Trialing out the stainless steel shells tomorrow. Not running a De Laval plant so hopefully they'll fit on my low line wash trays.
Got plastic here love them, your stainless are going to be really heavy compared

Thanks lad. My only concern would be the plastic would wear & break more easily. I want the clusters to last a long time. I'll ask for a plastic set now as well to compare.

Forget stainless, go with plastic much lighter. Cows still milk out quick as well. Also much quieter. The evanza stainless are noisy when the shells clink of each other because of no rubber around the teat end of them

How are you all getting on with the Evanza claws? 😀
We nearly had one on trial but got talking to our local Gea dealer, about our old parlour and getting rid of the old round gasgoine claws we had had for a fair few years.
So the van man was going to loan us one and the Gea bod v quickly suggested the IQ claw from Gea, lent us one and we were so impressed with it, we had a full set of second hand ones!
Super lightweight
Quirky design with balls in the plastic clear milk chambers which avoid back flushing up adjacent teats.
Bit of an art putting the units on but no sucking of air and liner slip has reduced to almost zero.
The shells are stainless and the liners have a ball end design for easy changing. Not expensive either, no contract
So glad we have them now.
Food for thought

Years ago my dad had those in the liner pipe, you cut the pipe and put the ball assembly in. Wasn’t ideal when training friesian heifers as you’d often get multiple breakages!
Quite happy with my Harmony clusters.

Have you got a jar parlour?
I tried a harmony cluster on our old jar parlour while the new parlour was still in boxes, had a hell of a job to attach as there wasn’t the vacuum readily available like a large pipeline plant.

Good for you😀
Not trying to convert anyone, and I am not getting a back hander!!
Just my 2 pennyworth if anyone else was going down the Evanza claw!
So far no breakages.our cows and heifers seem to love them
Time will tell how tuff the IQ are, we always keep a spare clear part in case, and the dealer is next door 😁
Who makes the Harmony?

Harmony also Delaval, been produced for many years.

Jars
Just don't want DTL for various reasons
No suction much until you slip the cup on the teat and then they gently grip on
Excellent for heifers but can be fiddly for small teats

Any updates on this? How are people finding the Evanza claws? Are they a vented liner or do they not need to be?

Currently on harmony, with metal claws and vented liners.

It's manageable I find
Lovely light claws, but occasionally the ball with stick in the base and allow the vacuum to escape but by and large a good shake sorts that.
Our fats quite high, maybe more of a reason for that possibly, I dont know
Just an update on our use of the Gea IQ claw - We have installed a 6 yr old Fabdec meter ,fullwood acr - direct to line parlour - instead of old jar one we had !!
Big plus is the Clusterflush ,as it keeps the Gea claws nice and clear of fat ,which can make the balls in the claw stick, but no problems any more with that !!
Love the claws more and more ,light and seemingly tough! Very nice to use ,we stuck with rubber liners in metal shells ,but have a set of silicone liners on the dump bucket claw!

Glad we never bothered with the Evanza in the end ,but interested to know what others think of it ?? :)
