Woodland Creation
This workshop will highlight a range of woodland priorities within the Loch Lomond & Trossach s National Park and explore the different types and scale of woodland management and creation that can be implemented on farms anywhere within Scotland.

Please come ready to discuss what woodland management and creation you may already be doing on your farm, what else you may be interested in doing and what might be constraining you from doing more woodland management and creation on your farm.

The workshop is particularly relevant to farmers and their advisors.

  • Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park
  • SRUC’s Hill & Mountain Research Centre
  • Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service
  • Woodland Trust Scotland
The workshop will also incorporate a visit to SRUC’s Kirkton & Auchtertyre Farms to see and discuss some of the woodland management and creation measures that have been implemented on the farms.

Organisation of this event was supported by Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, the Scottish Government’s RESAS 2016-21 Strategic Research Programme, Woodland Trust Scotland and Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service (FAS) which is part of the Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) co-funded by the EU and Scottish Government.
