Evicting a tenant.

So @CornishTone - how's it all going ?

I wondered the same.

Saw a programme on the televisuals this week re eviction of a tenant who had had 5 months notice. High Court bailiffs operated the warrant. The tenant blamed the local council who would not house them on the end of lease notice, but had to wait until they were homeless.

This isn't the case with @CornishTone 's tenant of course, but hope the inspection went OK and things are moving at last.

try spending the last few summers here then . . .

Last 3 or 4 winters have all been the warmest on record, we hardly get frosts anymore

Global warming is a bit of a misnomer really - it should be called increased climatic instability & extremes
drop the instability and just have ICE that would be a great name for global warming :D

Global weirding was the phrase used by Charlie Flindt, I think.

Anyhoo, has CornishTone got shot of his low life scum sucking butt wipe tenant yet ?

Probably wants compensation to move out, that's the norm with these clowns.

Sorry, been a busy weekend.

We are still playing host to our lovely tenant! She has agreed to let the inventory clerk in at midday on Sunday 30th June. As you can imagine, he’s delighted with that!!

At this stage, we just hope she goes. She has paid less than half the rent owed to take her to the 30th, so we need to get to the bottom of that.

Everything she does seems to be designed to elicit a reaction from someone. We have no stopped communicating with her in person as it’s just going to get unpleasant, and have insisted the agent now communicate with her.

All good fun!

The agent needs to up his game and sort it out. When did her section 21 run out.Pay the fee for a procession order it’s not that hard to fill in, take control ,or rather your agent should be.This is exactly the reason my OH sacked her agent, tenants doing what they like .You set the date ,the rules and follow it though.Out of interest if she doesn’t leave on the agreed date have you a plan.

Section 21 ran out on Saturday officially. We agreed to allow her to stay till the end of the month because we are soft/nice people. This was a mistake, clearly!

The agent is now going to clarify what is expected of her in terms of paying her rent.

Sadly been nice doesn’t always work.I help my good tenants a lot, sorting their housing benefit etc but have learned the hard way there is always one looser and it’s the landlord with a bad tenant.
