Ewe down 5 days after lambing

I have a ewe down the past 24 hours. Brought to the vet who gave antibiotic, glycerine, calcium and magnesium. Big fit healthy single lamb and she has plenty of milk.

She’s stable, eating (mad for nuts) and drinking but no strength in legs.

Any advice to get her going?

White muscle disease which is a deficiency of Selenium and Vitamin E ( the two work together. Surprised your vet didn't give her as shot of Vitesel or similar. If she is eating she has a lot of hope. Keep her well fed with mineralised feed and be quite around her as WMD causes muscle weakness and can affect the heart.
It may take quite a while for her to get to her feet.

Still no joy in getting the legs going, she’s still very alert and has a very good appetite and producing milk. How long should one prevail with her?

Have you got any more calcium? I had one one here two days ago, kill or cure she had 150ml and was up and about and back to normal in ten minutes

Get some leafy grass for her to eat, and is she drinking plenty water, when I get one off her feet like that I give them a lucozade sport and about 3 litres of water a day by force, they need water to flush them out. give it a go
