Thank you. As Easycares, they do that for me once they get into something green! Your comment is interesting though. Just wondering if some sheep 'shut down' over winter and so feeding over maintenance is a waste of time?
Same with feeding hoggs just get the wool off them ASAP and they will do from then on. Sheared hoggs in April plenty of times up here when the weather has been on side

I agree. Our yearling rams really motor in the couple of months after we shear them, which we don’t do until it warms up enough to keep them outside these days (hopefully in the next week or two, when we get time).
