Ewe with big teats

First time I have come across this. Her lambs can't hook the teat into their mouths, suck fine if I do it for them..... Any suggestions? Many thanks

Persevere for now but...Make sure you mark her to cull at a later date.
Although the tapered end to the teat looks helpful, its when they are big and round/full right to the end -its a hopeless case, - i much prefer smaller ones ....;)

Milk her! Empty the test/bag till the lamb can get on it. Feed the lamb from what you've pulled off her so it's taken colostrum... if there's excess milk, use it to feed pets or anything else that's hungry.

Cull her when you wean the lambs off her, she will do it next year again.

I kept few blue texel cross replacements and have never seen such teats on a shearling, big bag which is great but teats bigger than cow teats right to the end.. thought the lambs were managing but have seen one side blown right up so the lambs must be drinking from one side now:banghead: have to bring her back in with lambs but whether out can be done now i dont know she's been lambed week.

Aye drain the side off... youl need to train at least 1 lamb to swap sides, but it is do-able. Lots of hassle though.
