Excellent article about vegans getting ill.

The most pertinent (to this board) thing for me in the article is that veganism has "exploded" from 150,000 of them in 2014 to 600,000 today.

The population of the UK is 67 million, so I'm really not sure why we are so worried.

Personally, if they wish to live a life chronic malaise due to a substandard diet that's up to them. But we all know they can't keep their ideology to themselves and they have now successfully embedded their hatred of livestock into climate change debate much to the delight of the fossil fuel producers..

That's the lunacy of it, we have evolved as omnivores. If they want us to be plant eaters they'll have to learn all about genetic modification to change our basic biology.
Surely ‘natural selection’ and evolution would change the population’s basic biology to suit veganism over time, as those that couldn’t adapt basically died out and didn’t breed as they did so.

There is a strong case to suggest that veganism is an "eating disorder" in itself.... :(

I have seen a similiar instance several years ago, happily the guy split from his vegan partner and looks better on an omnivorous diet now.
Veganism is a dangerous amalgam of religion and an eating disorder with the capacity to cause serious harm to the physical and mental health of its disciples. It should be exposed as such. Those who promote veganism should be brought to book accordingly.

Its amazing how much noise less than 1% of the population can make, I suppose the the same people who are vegan are the same attention seeking people who get on on TV and radio. I don't care what people do but why do they have to push the view and and lifestyles onto people.
I couldn't be vegan because like Max and Paddy said "man can't live on chips alone":ROFLMAO:

I stayed on an organic sheep farm in New Zealand, and I remember the farmer telling me, he used to be vegetarian but found he did not have the energy to do the farm work, so he started eating meat once a week or so and he said his energy levels went up, so that is what he continued to do.
That's the science of it 🙂

The Climate Zealots and the Vegan Zealots are the same group. The same loonies on the fringes of society who have been making a nuisance throughout modern history.

Whether its chaining themselves to fences at Greenham Common or building treehouses in the path of the Newbury bypass, a tiny minority make big headlines and pickup support from sympathetic observers and then somehow are able to swing government policy no matter how unfounded their claims are.

I hope they all stick with their poisonous vegan diet and make themselves sterile.

I love a good vegetarian meal now and again, but Veganism makes me think of the stage children go through when they don’t want to eat broccoli/ tomatoes/ carrots etc; when beetroot faced infants spit the dummy and scream that they “DONT LIKE IT!

In a few weeks when the BBC forces Veganuary down our throats yet again, and we will have to suffer endless interviews with Packham and Monbiot. It's a reminder that Vegans really are just spoilt kids screaming the house down until they get their way.

The preposterous link between heart disease and saturated fat is being debunked.
The link between simple carbohydrates and diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease is very real.
The marketing muscle of Kelloggs et al is very much responsible for the state of the western worlds diet and health.

these idiots, with their stupid publicity stunts, actually cost people a lot of money, whether by traffic delays - 100's of cars sat in jam, cannot be classed as 'clean', missed appointments, emergency vehicles etc, why can't we sue them for time/other wasted ? Admittedly, the fines will be raised by sympathisers, but the money would help those caught up, that have lost out, and eventually, those sympathisers, will get fed up of forking out.
We live in a democratic country, where protests are legally allowed, but that swings both ways, we have a right to carry on our businesses, without stupid interference, that causes us undue expenses, that should/could be claimed from them.
What we probably should be doing, is a crowd funding site, to raise the money, to sue the barstewards, individually, that would hurt more.
