Excellent article about vegans getting ill.

Trust me Ollie, there is not the slightest comparison. The aim of FGM is purely and simply to remove women's pleasure from sex. In some quarters the poor girl is sewn up so it is distinctly painful, particularly for the first time.
It is also far more dangerous to the victim , properly done the removal of the foreskin is both painless and has little risk ofinfection. FGM can involve the removal of the bulk of the skin around the vulva.

I don't know anything about female circumcision but I would not describe male circumcision as painless.

It isn't a practice I have any familiarity with, but it strikes me as being somehow intrinsically wrong to do surgery on the genitalia of either males or females. Both tissues will be well connected with a lot of nervous tissue so surgery on either strikes me as being harmful. It never occurred to me until recently that society considers it AOK to do to one sex but it is understandably illegal in the other.

There is no comparison. FGM is mutilation in body and spirit. I don't agree with routine circumcision of boys, but skilled removal of foreskin (which can be a legitimate medical requirement in some instances) cannot be compared with FGM.
Not Ever.

Do you think it helps them? I went to school with a guy that does some serious long distance, often mountainous running, he has become a vegan to save the planet and for health reasons, he also posted a picture of him bbq’ing some impossible meat burgers a while ago 🤪🤯
they really think it does, the argument is that it reduces inflammation and helps faster recovery.

Personally, if they wish to live a life chronic malaise due to a substandard diet that's up to them. But we all know they can't keep their ideology to themselves and they have now successfully embedded their hatred of livestock into climate change debate much to the delight of the fossil fuel producers..
This this this. Fossil fuels are responsible for 90 odd% of ghg emissions. Yet you would never know it since vegans got into it about 5 years ago.
Also, food miles was the in phrase a few years ago, but since vegans have hijacked the conversation, that has gone out the window as they know their diet has a ridiculous food miles footprint

What happened to the other urban foodie buzzword, ‘clean eating’, where food was cooked from as few wholesome ingredients as possible and additives were to be avoided at all costs?

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a ‘ham and cheese’ sandwich in Greggs. It was only when I got home that I spotted my mistake. Take a look at the ingredients list:

Jaysus Christo on a biko. I'm not eating anything with a list of ingredients on it like that, I don't care if it tastes better than Angel's tears.

There’s also quite a bit of information about milk aiding muscle recovery in athletes ................proper milk that is, not but juice

Edit
Thought I’d typed nut but I’ll leave it stand for comedy value🤪

I wonder if a thread has ever strayed as far off topic! :ROFLMAO: ;)
