To me this summed up perfectly why differing standards yet equal commodity prices don’t work. It made me think of farm assurance and cross compliance also, something which aids this trend at every level and is not helping the situation.

Sadly I don’t think ELMS will make a jot of difference having seen the limited proposals so far.

Exactly this. It’s rare to find someone who does. Too many don’t see the business side of things when it comes to the environmental gubbins which makes me switch right off.
