Extendable forcing gate

Morning,

I want to make a new forcing gate for our square pen before our cattle race.

Being square, the gate need sto extend as it reaches the corner and contract as it passes it.

Any design ideas?

I had 5 extending gates but only for dairy cows 2 bared gates used box to fit in side each other and to stop them opening and closing on the slides drilled threw box just dropped a small bolt in for pin usually just 2 positions make them strong enough so preasure of cattle does not bend them if they bend the gate is effectively finished.

Depends totally on your pen layout but wouldn't it be more beneficial to make the corners round with some curved panels?
Would have thought an extendable gate with big cattle would soon be a non extendable gate.
Just my thoughts
If it is just for big cattle just cutting the corner off with a straight hurdle will be OK.

Too many working parts (i.e. telescopic tubes) are just going to be grief in no time flat.
