Make the most of any dry spells Autumn comes early!
Tuesday 5-9
Rain will move eastwards this morning so a wet start to the day in Scotland, northern England, parts of the Midlands, Wales and southwest England. South and east may start dry but showery rain will arrive into the afternoon. Brighter and drier skies arriving through western Scotland later in the morning, showers following later. The drier and brighter weather moves east, Highs of 23C/73F
Overnight
breezy and but mostly dry night to come lows of 10C/50F
Weather up till Friday
Wednesday 6-9
High pressure to the south with lower pressure to the north.
Showers may affect western coasts and hills, perhaps longer spells of rain at times in western Scotland and northwest England at first, these dieing out later. Elsewhere I’m hoping it should be dry with some sunny spells, the best of these in more eastern and southern areas. Highest temp, we can expect is 20C/68F.
Thursday 7-9
A dry start to the day, with a weak ridge of high pressure, so sunny spells, with the best of these in the east and south. While Low pressure west of Scotland pushes fronts eastwards. Bringing wet and windy weather in to western Scotland / England and Wales becoming cloudy rain moving in all parts later. Highs 20C/68F
Friday 8-9
Low pressure on seen and taking control of our weather . This is the start of a very a windy and autumnal period, Friday will feel a much colder day to all areas. With a band of rain, some of it heavy clearing southeastwards to be followed by sunshine and heavy showers. Highs 11C in the north up to 18C/64F in the SE
