Think that is the way forward but told a "set" lens is fitted then near or far is made up with glasses again.
As we say in the trade.... every case is unique! The lens replacement (cataracts mostly) is a fascinating procedure these days.
Basically cut a hole and liquidise the old one, suck it out, then inject a "folded" artificial one through the same hole, that then expands due to the extra fluid in the syringe module and hooks in to the tissue where the old one was. Takes about 10-15 minutes all in. The recovery from the sedative takes longer.
