Ez guide 250 keeps turning off

We have a Trimble ez guide 250 which is used in the sprayer mainly for coverage just as a guide for turning on/off in short runs etc. after working perfectly for the last 3 years yesterday it decided to lose the plot. When powered up it goes through the normal process of loading up then finally reaches the home screen. After about 10 seconds regardless of what you do it restarts and loads of again. In the time it's loaded there isn't chance to enter menus or anything to adjust any settings. I thought the memory could have been full as there will be a lot of fields and tasks saved on there but just wondered if anybody else has had a similar problem...
Thanks

Sounds like the memory on your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar is full, in order to resolve this issue you can give your unit a hard reset, no need to send the unit anywhere.

In order to give your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar a hard reset:
  • Power your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar down by pulling the power cable out of the back of the unit.
  • Hold down the three (I / II / III) buttons on the right side of the Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar down.
  • Keep the above buttons held down and power your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar back up using the power cable.
  • Continue to keep the above buttons held down until the loading bar at the bottom of your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar begins to slow down.
  • After this your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar should take longer than usual to load up as the memory on the unit is cleared.
  • If you have carried out the hard reset correctly on the Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar you should get a message on start up saying that a 'hard reset' was carried out.
Please note that giving your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar a hard reset will delete all settings and saved data in your unit so you will need to set up your implement settings and create a new field again on start up.

As you use your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar in future it is probably worth keeping an eye on your memory to make sure this does not get full up again.

It also might be worth checking that your Trimble EZ-Guide 250 lightbar is on the latest firmware version 3.10, you can check this this by going through the following menus: 'Configuration (Spanner) / Status / System Status / Version'.

Hope this helps, any further problems please get in touch.
