The motor will only be turning clockwise or anticlockwise on command from the screen I would think that when its taken apart it is fairly simple how they work . Probably just a motor running through a reduction type gearbox . The real tecky stuff is in the screen/ antenna /control boxes .

Looks like a pancake electric motor google Rosh electric motors. try dave king electric repairs .
Most stuff just uses components from other manufactures just a bit of time doing research you might come up with it .
if it is totally goosed take it apart carefully you have nothing to loose . Bet it is just a readily available motor .

Yeah tried Dave king but it wasn’t their bag unfortunately. Dealer has sent it off to Trimble for repair in Germany but they are saying it’s beyond economic repair. Dealer is trying to sort a deal out because I think I’ve got a bill for them diagnosing the problem.

They said £3000 for a new kit originally too. Idm600 and wiring included. Not sure what to do really.

Would like to put a valve on instead but that is £8000ish with the nav fitted.

To make matters worse there is now a fastrac 4220 in its place to finish the drilling which the driver is in love with, so I’m pricing one of them up with gritted teeth!! [emoji51]

Probably is just something simple in there. Wish I’d had a quick fiddle before sending it to Trimble.

Get it back then strip it down just to see what is in it Trimble and the likes love to say beyond repair as the customer usually just buys another and Trimbles mark up on spares is considerable I would think .
That is what I would do like challenges and loads of searching on internet and usually it comes up with something and saves money . Ps send it to me and I will have a go at it love to find out what is in it :).

I'm guessing the stator would probably cost quite a large proportion of a new unit if replaced.

But.....if it's just a loose connection....why does the stator need replacing?

Yeah I can’t see anything loose but then I’m not really sure what I’m looking at.
Hmm was hoping to see something obvious!

Might be worth thinking about replacing it, as bolt-on steering systems have been added to round 2 of the grant scheme. Especially if you could find someone for the t3 controller.

On a similar note, if anyone is tempted to upgrade to ez pilot etc, I could be a buyer for a used ez-steer.

If you want to buy a new one, take a set for Gfx750 / XCN1050 with catalogue number ZTN85000-185. You will get motor, steering wheel and cables. Than you can sell the parts which you don't need.
This is the cheapest way to get a new one.
Go to NH dealer. They have always the best price.

Which grand scheme is this?
