About 4 hours ago this was a lovely vegetable garden with loads of promise. Then sheep. Now it is a reminder to make better fences.

A neighbour has a field called California.

When I get 'earache' from Mrs Y B about 'never taking her on holiday' I make sure I drive her past it - then I can trot out, in my defence, "Well, I took you to California last week*/month*."

Never worry ! It’s just the circle of life . You were probably going to eat the vegetables. The sheep have done that for you . Now you eat the sheep!

I sampled a field named California Cottage last week. It was boiling hot too!

Gardens are a heck of a lot of work so why not put up a decent permanent stock fence its not like you have to worry about stakes rotting off...

Yes I remember all those years ago when I was at school someone saying his parents had gone the Boston and our history teacher thinking he meant Massachusetts Boston and not the one with all the cabbages.

quite a few human 'beached whales' on the sand as well come august
