It probably resold for about the same with installation though. Having said that, depending on its age it is worth that to someone, without a doubt. The issue is the risk and cost involved with moving it and that everything still works AFTER installing in the new location.

On one that size I would add a Grand more for that size tank including the electrics and so on.

Depending on its age, but if more than ten years of age I'd say that was well on the high side for a private sale unless delivered complete and warranted.

I agree 100%.

A tank that size won't be that easy to shift because who will want it?

I remember lots of people saying my tank was X. Would any of them offer me that money? No. Its worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.

First milk have just announced they are going eod from 2021 so probably never a better time to sell. Possibly depends on make, outlet size and recorded temperature warnings etc as well. If under 10 years old I would say £6000.

Sounds familiar. I bought this last week as a buffer tank. I imagine it's fairly old but it should tick the Arla buffer tank box and hopefully I'll never use it.

We have an icebank like this as our buffer and it's been great, use the ice through the plate cooler. Was used for storage half the year with an 8000 l Fullwood DX before we fitted a silo.
I have been trying to sell the DX for two years for 4000 with compressors and a water heater , 22 years old but in good nick. Just pulled it out and it's sat in the yard. But we have had little interest ,there is an Irish firm which refurbs them but it's almost scrap, we will keep it and use it for something.

What!!! Iv just bought a 3600 Muller from neighbouring retirement farm to go along side out 6000l tank, £500 for tank/compressor/hot water. £1150 to move and regas/service.
