Fabricating wheel rims

I have some combine wheel rims to go on a muck spreader. They could be carrying 7.5 tons each. At present the hole in the middle of the rim is bigger than the muckspreader hub. Plan was to get some round plates(20mm thick) made up to fit the spreader and weld them in. Would get the plates made as big of diameter as possible to spread the stress. Is it as simple as this. ?

Is the off set correct .?
How much will the discs cost you ?
Ds wheel factors ,can mill the weld out of the disc centre , if welded on one side , and put new disc in ,
Or cut out other centre to where iit is rusty ,where been on combine flange , and weld a disc in that ,
Either way ,wont have much change out of 4/500 ,
To have it done properly

Might give them a call and get a price.

Your spreader will be on some standard ag axles either 8 or 10 stud? Find some old or scrap supersingles and cut the centres out of them to weld into them wheels. Get them setup in a lathe and scratch a line into them to match the hole diameter of the combine wheels, that way they will be centred as well as possibl. As said, remove tyres though

One of my Rollands uses the same 10 stud as a super single, which is the same as my new holland cx combine, fitted strait on, 650, 75, 34. Perfect. put 800's on combine.

They’ll be the same as a lot of tractor front axle aswell plus some rear axle, they will also IIRC fit the JCB 5 stud axles! 235mm PCD comes to mind from somewhere deep behind all the other s**t, sorry useless information that I remember but forget the usefull stuff......
