Some I haven’t heard cancelled yet such as Westmorland and uk dairy day in September or for that matter Eurotier in November but I wouldn’t like to put money on them going ahead
Sadly I don’t see any shows taking place this year. Dependent on how the world looks in the Autumn, we may get some idea on the outlook for 2021 events. For any show to be a success all involved need to be absolutely confident that they are not putting themselves at any risk whatsoever. Whether we will see an effective vaccine by then and all inoculated is a huge ask!! Time will tell

in all honesty id even consider not going to Lamma next Jan coz until there is a Vaccine its gonna keep cropping up again & again
You maybe right. I’m an optimist by nature but, I fear visitors will be too wary to travel from all corners of the land to an indoor show in NEC. It is in part a nightingale hospital at present and who knows when this will be packed away?

As someone in the shielding group, it’s going to be a long old job . NHS were bombarding me with texts over the weekend . The first one said to stay in until 30th June. The last one was telling me to keep a bag packed ready for hospital . Hope they don’t know something I don’t .

Not going to a show until either had the antigen test and have imunity
or had the vaccine
or the uk has been cov 19 free for 30 days

the only reason to visit a show will be for social interaction every thing else can be done online

The more i think about it if i was organizing it id have it cancelled now... There wont be a proper tested vaccine by then iam pretty sure about that.
There might be by this time next year so atleast most of the summer events might take place

A tenant is in the show business. All shows cancelled for 12 month.

Expectation is social gatherings will be limited to a certain number.

Outside helps but you still get close to people

There is something in the system to change all this though, will know more in a week

Ryanair saying flights will start in July and face masks will be mandatory. Can;t say I fancy that and would definitely prefer going to an ag show with a load of people who are experts at Social distancing at the best of times.

It would be odd walking around Croptec in a mask though!

Shan’t be going to crop trials either, if there’s any on. I suppose they could film it and watch online as they go round the varieties.
hopefully then, we’d still get points for NRoSO, as I also shan’t be sitting in a room full of farmers to get the 10 points available .

The death stats are out by occupation, and if I was going anywhere it would be outdoors and I wouldn't want to be serving customers with dubiouse hygeine standards all day. You only have to look at the loos at large events and you wonder how people are at home.
