Just wondering if anyone's oil seed rape crop has failed or produced a poor yield due to Brassica Cyst Nematode rather than Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle?

Never heard of it....enlighten usJust wondering if anyone's oil seed rape crop has failed or produced a poor yield due to Brassica Cyst Nematode rather than Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle?
Some years ago our agronomist at the time noticed that a particular field of Oilseed rape looked very poor and suggested that Brassica Cyst Nematode could be the problem. Soil was tested and numbers were high so we didn't grow Osr in that particular field for about 12 years after sampling the soil again. Result a very good crop of Oilseed rape, although it was a good OSR year. it certainly did better than our other fields and we've never had a tight rotation. I have no idea about the biology of Brassica Cyst Nematode but they are a nemotode which causes trouble with Brassicas. I have looked back at my file and the proper name is Heterodera Cruciferae. Hope that helps.Never heard of it....enlighten us
