what about vernalisation will it be very green and leafy and hard to wilt?

Westerwolds + Italian ryegrass or just ryegrass also, thought I typed that in the first post, shouldn't try watching football at the same time.

You will be cutting in 10-12 weeks, rapid regrowth for subsequent cuts, possible 10T DM/ha.

Should get a couple of good cuts, Westerwolds completes its reproductive life cycle in the year of sowing. It is the only grass to produce a stem and seed head from a spring sowing making it suitable for the production of hay for horses. It is a very good N Lifter and is very quick to make a large root mass making it suitable as a green manure. Where its used in an arable rotation it is important to cut the crop before it become over mature to prevent it from shedding viable seeds that could cause problems in subsequent crops.

thanks for info think I've walked the osr enough times now as I say this last cold spell being the final nail in coffin

.noval . should be ok because amount of rain we've had thinking of trioing twice then drill
