Family issues....keep the peace?

Thanks so much for all your replies...it brings home how foolish our family have been in letting this situation develop. You often don't see things in a normal light when you're in the eye of the storm.

I may have to do a series of PMs at some point as I'll feel equally as guilty leaving you hanging after this much info as I would for airing it all too publicly.

I wonder if Spotify needs a niche, anonymous podcast?

Oh his games are being ended....don't worry
How did you end it ....many of us are in a situation ,where someone carries on the same way because no one can stop them ,even to the detriment of everyone around them .The sad thing is its happening more nowadays as the NHS has done a stella job of keeping old farmers going for a lot longer, than would of been their natural (out to pasture) time...Cancer -joints- athritus? etc use to cause most to give up .Now these conditions are being cured and now with a result of older ,more cantankrus folk influencing others and then slipping into dimetia before sorting out resolveable issues

Nothing like airing your dirty washing in public.🤦‍♂️
So you know which farm I'm on, which town I'm near, and who's being talked about? No you don't.

If you're lucky enough to sail through life with no issues, or are of such towering intellect the answers come easy, then bravo......you're very lucky.

I hope most would see this as seeking advice from as many as possible who may have experienced a similar situation, in a traditionally awkward industry, in order to try and get the best outcome all round.

As has been typical of this whole affair, a business issue (this time a good one for all concerned) has popped up which is delaying the inevitable as it needs sorting first.

Apols for the suspense.....

You keep changing your username as often, not much chance of that.

What will it be in June?

What’s weird about it? It’s a bloke with a problem looking for advice. Farming with relatives can be a very brutal environment mentality at times, resentment grows and grows over tiny issues, until boom! Or worse.
It doesn’t seem sincere somehow

i know how issues can arise believe me in my life you wouldn’t believe it. I started with zero at 18 because of it, best thing that could have ever happened I’m not tangled up in a web of shite

I assure you it's sincere, why on earth would I go to the lengths of inventing this / keeping it going if it weren't?

Unless of course, I too am as berserk as Mr X..........

This is all 100% genuine, and I'm very grateful for all the opinions and replies, even just talking it through helps as the situation is so ludicrous and gets incredibly stressful. I can't stress often enough, although the answers appear black and white it is a huge step finally being 'the one' who blows apart 50 years and 3 generations of 'fantasy'.

I'm glad you were able to sort out your problems early @Skintagain, no matter how tough at the time.
