We have a mockup of a shepherdess -type milk-feeder for pet lambs.

I used a heavy (but fairly rusty) metal object to weigh down the one-way intake-valves so that they stayed on the bottom of the bucket. Otherwise, they tend to float upwards.

When I cleaned out the container last night, just after two days, the rusty metal object had turned into a clean, bright, rust-free object.

Cheaper than Pepsi Cola or Brown Sauce. But I've patented the idea, included using calf milk for the same purpose, so anyone using it will need to pay a royalty.

And you'll can market the meat from the pet lambs as iron-enriched!

....where did the rust end up?

I estimate that it increased the iron contents in the milk by <2 ppm, which shouldn't have a significant effect on the lambs' iron statuses. (or should that be stati???) But as AftonShepherd suggests, I will market them as ''slightly ferrous-enhanced lamb''.

Surely some of you, with an enquiring mind, will attempt to explain how lamb milk-powder, diluted at 20%, has the ability to remove rust from steel, and restore it (almost) to its former glory.

Just think of all those boxes of rusty Whitworth etc. spanners which could have a new lease of life.
