Vote early vote oftenThis also appears (by mistake) on the livestock thread. So don't votetwice
odd question - I ticked highly disappointed and then realized that that was if it was abolished ................. which I wouldn't be !
This question needs PROPER thought and phrasing for the result will be meaningly - it should also focus on ACCS initially
There’s 7 of em now...............along with a couple who would be disappointed..................do you think we’ve got a couple of RT representatives looking in?What duffus voted mildly pleased ?

Some are disappointed!
I voted Mildly pleased. RT are going too far but we need some kind of audited standard to keep the authorities and retailers off our backs.
You need to accept that not everyone has the same opinion - that would negate the debate in TFF somewhat!
But so far, about 85% on this thread, and 95% on Clive's thread have voted against FA.
And if the NFU membership is of a similar opinion, and if the NFUs are there to represent their members, are they not duty bound to take note? Some chance of that!!!!
I voted disappointed
I voted disappointed because if it went it would be replaced my individual buyers schemes which will do their best to out do each other.Come on, LF. I know you are already having to comply with a heck of a lot more detailed requirements by your milk buyer as my wife has explained them to me at length; I know how onerous some of these requirements can be for people. RT for you is an irrelevance: the final arbiter is your milk buyer who will in future only be making regulations even tighter I suspect.
Look at the detailed nature of the antibiotic requirements and I can see in time how they will begin to encroach on welfare and even how animals are housed and fed in time (if they don't already even if indirectly). RT does none of that. At least your milk buyer is looking for alternative markets for your product and how it might give some relevance to the consumer i.e. Johnes disease etc.
They already do in the dairy trade though; started with supermarket contracts and now on to Arla and other dairies. What I resent is RT wants data in one form and my milk buyer another.I voted disappointed because if it went it would be replaced my individual buyers schemes which will do their best to out do each other.
and more importantly animal welfare has improved massively since RT was introduced.it would be a shame to see those standards lost if RT went and not replaced.
