I expect this has been covered before but I can't find it. I am looking into becoming farm assured, which is the best mob to go with and how do I go about getting the ball rolling?
Finished and breeding cattle.Partly depends what you are producing and on what scale...
But costly not to be in.Total farce and total rip off
I am in and it's costly! But costly not to be in.

Agree with you but didn't jump for years on principal till supermarket lamb buyer told me "carry on but your principals are costing you money"
Me too, but having had a kicking a couple of times on a slow week at the market years ago, it soon comes back. I would find it hard to get rid of cull cows now in my area as NA. 125miles to Newark, and no hauliers that go regularly...I am in and it's costly!
I have to be in for deadweight cattle and selling lambs in the martMe too, but having had a kicking a couple of times on a slow week at the market years ago, it soon comes back. Weirdly it makes no difference to my buyer for prime cattle. It's only another £400 pa for me, only another weeks wages pee'd away quicker than I can earn it.I have to be in for deadweight cattle and selling lambs in the mart
