Farm building security, deterrents, good ideas?

That's the paradox of overt target hardening. The more obvious the security measures are, the more the scrotes think that there's something inside that's really worth nicking.
thats the trick though.. you overty harden a target that is actually pretty empty so they waste their time and energy getting in there but then keep the good stuff someplace hidden but unsecured tucked in a corner behind some bales or waste plastic (y)

Wouldn't be the first time that's been done, and at quite a scale as well. A certain dictator in the middle eastern did precisely that. Bunkers and concrete shelters tooled up to the max with security left as the obvious targets, with the kit that had formerly been inside them hidden in the desert. Literally in the desert. Buried in it.

Solar post lights,! They unlike traditional post lights, are energy-efficient. This is because they use the sun’s power instead of electricity. Plus, solar lamp posts usually contain LEDs, which can provide extended illumination for many years.
Solar lamp posts can be very bright. If you prefer a light with incredible illumination, consider buying the best solar lamp post lights with over 150 lumens.
Or, you might want to buy several solar-powered lamp posts to light up a broader section of your outdoor area.

Hide stuff as best you can.

Padlocks need to be used with special hasps so that they can't be attacked very easily. The ones I have seen are where the door/gate has a matching half that fits neatly with what it shuts against to form a tall box, with the padlock then being inserted from underneath. Makes it difficult to get near the loop or actually parts that hold the gate or door shut.

Surround the site with a soil bank to stop ram raids and make the entrance very difficult to enter with a vehicle, this makes it a lot less attractive to enter in the first place.

Beware block, wood or concrete walls may be knocked in or down to gain entry. Build a strong room for tools.

Got 2 buildings away from the house (about a mile)
Both block/concrete panels to about 4 foot then Yorkshire boarding. No.mains power or WiFi.

Had a break in a few months back, took some power tools.
Got the usual, quad, tractor, generator and bits and bats, anything worth money that I can easily take home, I do.

Found out tonight some dodgy scrotes have had a look around tonight.

Gates/doors all padlocked with decent locks.

I'm not sure what else I could do, so im open to your ideas 🤷‍♂️

My neighbour wired his doors to some kind of industrial battery. I am not sure how its works to be honest but he went from having so much trouble that his insurance were starting to suggest his sheds in question couldn't be covered, to having zero issues.
