Farm digger uses

Look a little closer - it's hopefully a short visit.

I am more impressed that the Bailey keeps it in.
Bead of silicon round the door and she's water tight. Plan is to make a proper tank the right size for the cage with sheep going out onto a drip tray which runs back to the tank to save on the dip. Keep the whole thing lower too. This was just an experimental set up. The basket is an old man basket that used to belong to a local civil engineering firm. Would have been slung from a crane doing pier building work. I ended up with it after they went bust.. so literally zero cost in this setup so far!

We were dipping 200 / hour with giving each batch a few minutes to drip too. Much less swearing than trying to push sheep up the ramp of a mobile dipper!

This is the kind of thing I'm thinking off. If it's parked up in a good spot must be handy for lifting. What kind of height/weight can u lift? Was thinking with a set of pallet forks would be good for loading/unloading lorry's even
13 tonner will lift 3 ton or so in close. Easy lift a ton at full reach. I don't have pallet forks for mine but it would be handy. Often use it as a crane. At full stretch it's probably 8 maybe 9m out. So probably 10m high if you point it straight up but I wouldn't like to try lifting any big weight on pallet forks away up like that.

We've got a wheeled digger too and it gets used a lot for loader work and lifting stuff about with the back actor. It'll lift a ton in close and still lift a 600kg bag of fert at full reach on the back. Will lift 4 ton on the front. I think a euro hitch adapter on the back might be the next addition. You'd go with a couple bales of straw on the back no prob. Even stack straw with it, extra service there too so could work a grab. Already have Q-fit on the front, it's a right handy machine.

How does getting the hang of moving forks horizontally in and out of pallets compare to getting the hang of digging/grading a level?
It takes some time to get used to it and it’s to a quick loader but it’s great for some jobs. It’s our in field tracked loader, which in winter in very valuable
