Farm plastic waste collection

There is some value in all of this plastic we have and we should be doing more to take advantage. The skip hire companies are making money incinerating and putting energy in the grid and we are paying them to take our plastic away!

There was an advert in this week's FW looking for old fert bags. I dropped an email but got no response...

In the meantime, hiring a skip seems to be the easiest way of dealing with it. They are happy for rinsed chem containers etc to all go in too.

Our bale wrap goes to solway recycling who make it into lambing pens and other products, but it really annoys me, we have to buy the wrap, pay for it to be collected then buy the products back if you use their products you've paid for it 3 times

we should do the same for our produce. Sell it the public and make them pay for us to take their sewage.
