Farm Relocation.. planning underway

I suppose this is a bit of a flag wave but we are finally into the nitty gritty of the application for relocation of the dairy unit and farm infrastucture generally..this is REALLY exciting for me but it has been about to happen for over a decade now ! (or more from my fathers point of view)

I would welcome comments on the plans .. and yes there are no silage clamps planned for the site .. hoping to get a hay drying barn tucked in there somewhere along with reduced silage
storage. Plans here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/85y1ckrttglbcb8/AACJ562smO348Jh5AbRZry2va?dl=0

3 robots, auto feed system and auto scrape.. still got a number of issues with slurry management ..but quietly ironing them out.

Fun times ahead!

Right...finally..and after a significant quantity of potash being utilised to reduce stress , 3 national park officers , huuuuge quantities of emails, using words of one syllable ; swearing ,:blackeye::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: and general grandstanding (by the national park:poop:) we have finally been granted permission to relocate our farm to a green fld site. (the application went in on the 1st of June) :whistle:

I am seriously jaded but deeply relieved that the national park have yielded...now the hard work begins.. and revision of budgets ..and layout design tinkering.. i can feel a second uk robot tour coming on again..:):)

who does the best (concrete) slurry towers these days..is there such a person as slurry system designer?

@MickMoor will have seen most of the problems caused by poor design.

Hi ,sounds really exciting times for you. If its of interest, we are just completing a large scale dairy centre at the University of Nottingham which incorporates robotic milking,feeding etc. If you would like to discuss or have a visit, Id be happy to arrange. Additionally we have completed a number of larger private dairy developments which may also be on interest . We are always happy to help with ideas! please email: [email protected]

Retire with the compensation payout your receiving! Building a new farm or buying farmland in brexit times is high risk.

What compensation? :scratchhead::scratchhead:
Putting my business on a leaner modern footing is the best possible thing to do with Brexit..
agreed......there seems to plenty of investment in the future of farming if our enquiries are anything to go by.....we have 1 current order plus 2 enquiries we are helping with development for complete new farm projects....some clearly think the future is bright!
