Farm Relocation.. planning underway

Its been a while..
20190529_194733.jpg

And a wider view
20190529_194723.jpg

Showing how much more work is needed..!
This is the close calving area..
20190529_194457.jpg

Not a huge amount of concrete left to put down but lots of metalwork to do and plumbing, and sparky works.. and putting the robots together..then the feeding system.! Another few months should do it!

If you don’t mind me asking roughly how much would that auto feed aysytem be? Assume you fill the kitchen for it once per day?

I have requested it has capacity for 3 days. For 210 animals. The system has capacity to feed 700. I was very lucky with Trioliet as they have stood by a quote they gave me in 2016.

Sadly it was in Euros.. 215k
Clearly the exchange rate has moved significantly against me since then..:poop:

So..I have talked myself into throwing a shed party to celebrate the farm moving out of the village.

I am in need of dance track listings fotr the party/rave/hoedown/ party.

I am late 40s so go easy on the 1950s to 1970s suggestions..!

What age is your audience?

Start with the oldies stuff - they will all leave soon anyway and the youngsters won't have arrived.
I'll do the oldies stuff because I am:

If you want them on their feet:
Can you feel it [a version from every decade]
I wanna dance with somebody
Sweet Caroline
Marvin Gaye [just cos you have to]
Brown sugar
Pull up to the bumper
Billie Jean [hate the man myself]
Into the groove
Dancing in the street
I fell love

To transition from oldies to youngies
Golden brown
KLF - anything
Get some Prince in
Madonna

As the night goes on
Bedrock - For What You Dream Of

Oh F it; I give up - hire a chap that is as expert as music as you are at planning - it will be worth every penny. :)

That's great thankyou.. my audience will likely range from my teenage daughters and up to my dad who is 85..

I needed a bit of inspiration so that has given my brain a bit of a bump start.. i like rave/ klf stylee anything with a deep bass and a heavy beat.. but will probably have to leave that 'til later in the evening!

Another fly through..

The outside view and concrete around the essentials, we went for long fibre reinforced concrete on areas near the silo and where the tanker will turn.

The office is being built on top of the plant room by a very talented local carpenter.. 2nd hand reject windows.. excellent visibility.

Getting quite close to completing installation but still a bit to go..the sparky and plumber are naking steady if erratic progress and the trioliet kit has yet to arrive..however..

All in all looking good. But these next few weeks are going to be nerve wracking!!

Hi.

It is as you say. But floor has fibre in it too.
Done by dragon mouldings.
Avoid dark colour floors and deffo add some non slip stuff.

Dark coloured resin shows scratches painfully easily.

Thanks for that, we are starting a new setup as well shortly what would you say has been the thing that has delayed you the most or is it a combination of things?

Pembrokeshire coast national park ..2 years. Builder availablility 4 months at start up, change of design/ size of slurry channels, 2 months, organising finance/ money . 1 month

We must have it ready by early october. We are so close now that the trades are making me a bit anxious as they just bimble along with no urgency! So get them lined up and focussed early on so they can hit the ground running..
