@Beef farmer I don't suppose you have any old Ferguson stuff in the back of the shed ?
2 old tractors are in the shed, with the doors firmly shut. Not mine, or anything to do with me as I have no interest at all.@Beef farmer I don't suppose you have any old Ferguson stuff in the back of the shed ?

He bought one in the pub, put it in the front shed and hasn't touched it since. The other was some old thing he and his dad used to use. Recons he will do it up one day, I'll bet it rots before then.Father got them lined up for tractor runs when he gets old?
Whilst that is an option, a lot of items are put in a collective because they are troublesome, where as a farm sale, the machines should be more genuine, also it would take a lot of man hours to drag it all to the nearest collective, 40 miles away.but you've always the option of bringing it home.Better to take the stuff to an auction in dribs and drabs.
Putting everything for sale on one day puts you at the mercy of the weather and what other things buyers might have to do that day.
A 14ton doosan. 7500 hours 04.What 360 do you have ?
How do you value that?A 14ton doosan. 7500 hours 04.
In the easiest way,,what ever the hammer falls on. I haven't a clue what it's all worth, I bought it to do a few big jobs which it has done. How do you value that?
Yes, it is difficult to value items. I find I just scratch my head and wonder if I'm undervaluing things. Auctions save that hassle as it's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it and when two people decide they want it on the day it can be profitable. In the easiest way,,what ever the hammer falls on. I'm working on the theory that if I'm scratching my head over weather I need it of not, then I don't need it. Selling the feed wagons as going self feed, and if they are sat in the yard it will be to easy to give in when the cows break the fence and end up on top of the clamp.Yes, it is difficult to value items. I have some bits and pieces that will be going in the local collective in May. I also have a couple of larger items that I'm scratching my head over whether to sell or not .
I like the idea of livestock, got 300 stores to sell, would draw a reasonable crowd.......oh wait tb.Good idea. Speak with neighbouring farms Iam sure you will get items from them. Then hire out a pitch for the tea van. Also livestock brings in the crowds. 100 or so ewes etc.
