Know a couple that have but its always a struggle to get people through the door in quieter rural areas so helps to have say a cafe or farmers market to compliment it.

Operate a small one selling spuds, other veg and eggs. Mostly work an honesty box, handily placed on a busy road and near several towns. Several other reasonably nearby that have cafes, pet foods etc, etc and are very busy but then they also have staff to pay.

Wife's cousin owns and runs this one. leggesofbromyard mixture between farm shop and traditional butchers but they seems to be doing great business.

i would like one but my people skills are not ideal, but i do like these bits of paper with the queens head n my oh is great with selling n dealing with people
@multi power don't worry about your lack of people skills :bag:, our local one is run by a chap and wife/lady and he is miserable as sin, he turn his back most of the time you approach the counter. Never the less the meat is great so I go back every week.
